People who are going through change in their lives - for example after a divorce, bereavement or when they are expecting a baby - often need to sort their possessions to enable them to move forward in life. This can include making space for new clothes or clearing clutter to make a fresh start.
Whether you need more space for your hobbies or to create space for a home office, extension, loft or garage conversion, or are a working parent with a demanding job and simply don't have time for tidying and cleaning up, we can declutter, organise and arrange suitable storage solutions to keep your home tidy.
If you either can’t get out to the shops or don’t know where to buy something, we can take you out to buy them, or purchase items on your behalf via the internet.
Because personal safety is our main priority, our primary task is to assess risks around your home (especially trip and hygiene hazards) before addressing issues with individual cupboards, fridges, stairs, rooms, offices, lofts, garages, sheds and gardens.
We co-ordinate document shredding, cleaning, property maintenance and other home improvement services by reputable local suppliers, personally checked by us. Temporary off-site storage can be arranged if necessary.
- We are always on the look-out for recommendations of good local business to work with (and also those to be avoided!), and love the challenge of resolving tradesman issues on your behalf!
- Please contact us if you know of a local school, charity or club that might have a use for unwanted articles like books, newspapers, toys, textiles, home & garden items, or hobby supplies – we may be able to help you.
Helping chronic hoarders is complex and may require a long-term ongoing relationship, with the support of family, carers, counsellors or psychologists.
We are full members of the Association of Professional Declutterers and Organisers (APDO- UK), and follow their strict ethical guidelines; this means that you, your family and friends can have peace of mind that you or your loved ones are in safe professional organisational hands.
Some of the benefits of being organised
Without professional help, creating a less cluttered home or becoming/remaining organised can be an arduous and emotionally draining expedition rather than a relaxing voyage. With our help, both the rewards and the journey are well worth the trip.
Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs (represented as a pyramid with the more basic needs at the bottom) has been adapted to show the benefits of being organised):
